Description
Matcha is a green tea milled into a fine powder. It has a smooth, refreshing and slightly sweet flavor with a vibrant green color and silky texture. Our organic matcha is not prepared as ceremonial grade matcha, which means the characteristics are different; and it has a more robust flavor, slightly less sweet and more bitter notes. The traditional hot matcha tea makes wonderful green tea lattes and matcha smoothies. Also, delicious as in iced tea.
two methods to make Matcha tea: Traditional – warm the bowl with hot water, discard water, dry bowl. Rinse bamboo whisk to keep tea from sticking – 1 tsp of tea, add 4oz of hot water (not boiling), mix with bamboo whisk until smooth and creamy with fine foam on top.
Contemporary – 6 oz of tea use 1 tsp of tea, pour hot water (not boiling) over tea, seep 2-4 minutes strain and serve immediately.

Tried this matcha for the first time last week and it has quickly become a favorite. It’s so fresh and has a perfectly balanced flavor! Not too bitter and has that signature richness that I find only in very high quality matcha. I would highly recommend!
